This isn’t a coincidence
November 21, 2011

Today’s class chapel time was quite small in attendance, with only me, Abel, Julia Tan, and Anne. Although I was easily discouraged by the few number, it was actually really good. In the light of thanksgiving coming up, we shared what we were thankful for, and I said I was thankful for God’s healing on my family and that I get to visit them soon. After going around, Julia shared that she’s been wanting to get a ride from Brent to New York too, but she had to buy a flight ticket because there wasn’t any space in the car anymore. It’s surprising, because many people apparently asked if there were any space and I happened to take Yifan’s spot luckily. I never intended to go home, not because of the cost, but because the winter break was only a few weeks afterwards.

This isn’t a coincidence, but God wants me to go home soon. Especially with me feeling convicted to do Community Summer Missions Project in the upcoming summer, I need to tell my parents about it as early as possible, and this short break would be a good opportunity. As much as I feel bad for Julia knowing that she could’ve been in my spot to save money, but she tells me that God must’ve done this for a reason, at the perfect timing. God’s will never fails.
