Chicago trip with focus
July 7, 2013

I think I’ve gone to Chicago enough and I wasn’t the most excited to be going there with the single adult focus group in my church. I honestly felt like just staying home and resting up wouldn’t be so bad on top of not spending any money during the trip.

But I’m so glad that I went. More than the actual activities or scenery of Chicago, I feel like I got to meet many new people and had many quality times too. We walked around and commuted so much, but that allowed us to chat and interact a lot.

Visiting the Chicago site of our church was a great experience too. While it was held in a lecture room of the university there, the venue didn’t matter because of the room filled with worship and prayers. Even hearing about Pastor Jimmy who got robbed last week and lost a lot of possessions got me thinking deeply, of how much I could hold onto the things that I own. I need to remind myself that they’re usually replaceable.

Anyway, the Chicago trip was super tiring  but well worth the enjoyable times.
