I bought a OnePlus Two some time ago and I put it up on Craigslist and eBay to sell it for some profit. I’ve been in touch with a guy named Matt who kept insisting on using PayPal and not cash even though we were meeting in person. Long story short, we agreed to use PayPal and he let me take a picture of his driver’s license too. He showed up with his cute little daughter in blue eyes, and we got to talk about some things other than about the phone.

He thought my glasses was cool and wanted to know where to get one. He has three kids, owns a home, went through three cars and four motorcycles this year. And he was only 24 years old. How could he have all these things including a home and a family when he’s so young? I asked and he shared about how he had a good family business before, etc. I’ve only talked to him for maybe five minutes in person, but I’ve never met anyone like him before. Such chillness and free spirit I was able to sense from this guy, like wow. “Life has been good for me” he’d say, and he’s not even 30.

I didn’t get to ask whether he was a believer or not, but I can’t help but to wonder what allows him to be like that. Is it his well backed financial security? His easy going personality? A loving family? I’m not sure, but I definitely sensed joy flowing out of him. He probably shouldn’t get sick of things so easily and get the next new thing he wants all the time, but I guess that’s his choice of life. I’ll remember this to be one of the most unique and interesting transactions I’ve had on Craigslist.
