Happy Birthday Hayoung, or Esther…!
You’re 14 years old and I can’t believe you’re going to high school already! I didn’t give you a call or didn’t do more than sending you a text to say happy birthday, but I hope you know I care about you more than you think I do, aha. Growing up alone for the 7 or 8-ish years of my life, you’ve been such a joy for me when you were born. I’ve always wanted a younger sibling and it’s been a long time since back then. My maturity level wasn’t any different from yours, running around and playing with little toys, heh. You probably will be grossed to know I changed your diapers and had to witness stinky brownies, haha.
I remember when you used to watch sing and dance along videos you enjoyed and you were still in the cute stage, but what happened now? Just kidding…
I’m actually worried a bit about you at times, since you’re a girl and I really don’t want you to get hurt by this corrupt world today, but gosh, I don’t want to be the overprotective brother either. I wish you wouldn’t hide your phone when I pop up behind you, and wished you wouldn’t deny some things, but I guess that’s part of growing up too.
I want you to grow up well and live a joyful life, without fear, and know that God is in control of your life. Oh, you can’t forget about your family either… no matter how difficult life may seem, no matter how annoying parents may be at times, remember that you’re loved very much, and everything is out of love. I get so emotional whenever I write something to my family, so I’ll stop now. Miss you and love you too.
