It’s a blessing to bless others
March 10, 2012

The guys from our junior class in church had a blessing for the girls. Perhaps followed by the traditions of holding events for the other classes routinely from the church, the issue of blessing always comes up. While we would always love to do something nice for others and have fun, it requires a lot of time and planning, and the process is not too pretty all the time. The second semesters during the college have always been rough while eventful, often caught up in the busyness and everything else going on.

This year’s blessing for the girls has been a little different, and rather much simpler. We didn’t have any fancy performances, we didn’t dress up, and simply wanted to enjoy our time with the sisters and share how much we appreciate their presence in our lives. So we planned out for picnic, and everything turned out alright. During the planning process, everyone was obviously busy with extremely late nights and works to do, but still remained responsible with this special few hours dedicated for the blessing.

While the process isn’t the easiest, it definitely is rewarding to bless others. To see their smiles in joy, whether through funny moments or failures, it’s a blessing to be able to bless one another. School isn’t getting any easier, but the time remaining in college as juniors keeps ticking. Let us find joy in blessing others!
