Month of working life
July 10, 2013

I started working as a programmer in an academic publishing company called Mathematical Reviews, a branch of the American Mathematical Society, a month ago. It still feels like I started working yesterday but it’s been a month already, crazy.

I realize working life has pros and cons. I like that I’m able to come home with a free evening as long there’s no church event going on. Unlike the school life where there’s something due next day all the time and need to worry about things constantly. I now go to work, come back, and don’t think about it anymore, yay.

In terms of cons, it’s very time consuming. Although eight hours a day doesn’t sound like much, it takes up the entire day up to the evening and if I were to cook or something, even less time.

Despite the busyness and what not, I’m thankful that I’ve gotten this job 🙂
