I spent a good hour or so intensely playing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows game with my brother and I felt the floor shaking. I thought it was my chubby little brother shaking his leg (a bad habit that he got from my sister) and realized the entire house was shaking. Although mild, the banana holder was swinging side to side on its own, and I first thought it was cool, but a sense of fear kicked in, hoping that it stops shaking. It did stop soon after, and found out that it was an earthquake from Virginia.

I’ve seen many news coverage on earthquakes before, but I honestly was never concerned enough since it didn’t bother me. I’ve experienced about ten seconds of it and I must say, it’s quite scary.

Inevitably, there’s been many people posting about it on Facebook and a several referred to the coming of 2012. The upcoming year will not be the end of the world, but a wonderful year!
